On 18th September the Commission of the European Communities published the latest document “Multilingualism: an asset for Europe and a shared commitment”. This is the first document in which Commission shows the influence of the languages learning in different area.

Document is divided into 5 parts. First one is presenting language learning and its influence on intercultural dialogue. The second part is showing relation between language knowledge and economy (prosperity). The third and fourth part are presenting Lifelong Learning Programme, together with Media and Technology in translations programme. The last part shows that language knowledge can help European enterprises to achieve success in new markets, like Brazil, Russia, China, etc.
